Cougars Name Trang Huynh Assistant Coach

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University Tennis has named former standout Trang Huynh as the Cougar's assistant tennis coach, Head Coach Lisa Hart announced Wednesday. Huynh replaces Robin Cambier and began her duties July 1.
 
"I am thrilled about the addition of Trang to our staff," said Hart. "Trang's background as a player in our program as well as her experience in collegiate coaching will be a great foundation to help her thrive in her new role. Her upbeat personality and loyalty to Cougar Tennis will be huge assets to our program!"
 
Huynh returns to Pullman following two seasons as the assistant coach at Northern Illinois University where she also obtained her master's degree in management information systems.
 
In her lone year as a Cougar after transferring from Troy University prior to the 2015-16 season, Huynh posted a 32-16 singles record, the 32 singles wins tied for the third-most in WSU single season history. She opened the 2016 dual match season with 14-straight wins while also clinching a team-best six victories. In doubles play, she posted 22 doubles victories. She capped her season by being named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
 
Huynh graduated from WSU with a degree in psychology and a biology minor.
