Incoming Cougars Earn All-State Accolades

Ten signees of the 2018 signing class earned All-State honors from USA Today.

PULLMAN, Wash. – Ten members of the Washington State Baseball incoming freshman class recently were named to All-USA State teams, the USA Today announced recently.
 
Lefthanded pitcher Kyler Bush out of Fremont High School in Utah was named to the All-USA Second Team. Bush was also selected in the 40th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Kansas City Royals and will attend WSU.
 
Infielder Abel Carter out of Carson High School in Carson City, Nevada was named to the All-USA Nevada First Team.
 
Lefthanded pitcher/outfielder Tyson Guerrero out of W.F. West High School in Chehalis, Wash. was named to the All-USA Washington First Team as an outfielder. Three signees were named to the All-USA Washington Second Team; outfielder/righthanded pitcher Koby Blunt out of Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Wash., lefthanded pitcher Sam Lauderdale out of King's Way High School in Vancouver, Wash., righthanded pitcher and 14th-round MLB Draft pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers Brandon White.
 
Righthanded pitcher Trevor Ichimura out of Iolani High School in Honolulu was named to the All-USA Hawaii Second Team.
 
Infielders Kodie Kolden and Kyle Manzardo, both out of Lake City High School in Coeur d'Alene, were each named to the All-USA Idaho First Team.
 
Righthanded pitcher Zane Mills out of Lincoln High School in Portland, Ore. was named to the All-USA Oregon Second Team.
