Men's Golf Concludes Fall Play in California

The team finished it's final round Wednesday.
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - The WSU men's golf team concluded play at the Saint Mary's Invitational Wednesday, shooting the teams tournament low of 284(E). The team finished in 17th place with a three round score of 883(+31).

Sophomore Daniel Kolar had an especially rewarding third round, going five-under par with a 67. The low score brought Kolar's overall to 212(-1), and helped him make the jump from 40th place after the second round, to finish tied for 20th.

Junior AJ Armstrong tied for 63rd overall, marking a 74(+2) over all three rounds for a total of 222(+9).

Junior Grant Cole tallied his best round of the tournament with a 73(+1), rounding out his three round score of 226(+13). Cole moved up to tie for 77th with two others from Arizona and Fresno State.

The Saint Mary's Invitational was the finale of fall play for the men's golf team, and they will return to competition in February when they participate in the John Burns Intercollegiate in Lihue, Hawaii.
