Los Angeles, Calif. – Stars from the Pac-12 Conferences defeated Team USA 326.50-286.50 Sunday, Oct. 22 after two days of competition. Jasmine Margetts had an outstanding performance for the conference, setting season best times in both the 1000 free and 100 back.
"Jasmine swam great again today, she keeps getting better and better everyday swimming against the best swimmers in the world!" head coach Tom Jager said. "Jasmine represented the Pac-12 well today and that doesn't surprise me either. Way to go Jas!"
Margetts' time of 10:06.66 in the 1000 free landed her in fifth place, nearly five seconds ahead of Ruby Martin from Team USA. Her time also is the third fastest time in WSU program history. Margetts placed sixth in the 100 Back with a time of 55.40, a season best time.
Margetts and the Cougars are back in action Oct. 26 at 6:15 pm. and Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. when they travel to California to take on USC and UCLA, respectively.
