The WSU women's golf team improved to third place after the second round of the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate, October 7. The Cougars are tied with UTSA with a two round score of 578(+2). They trail second place Denver by one stroke (577, +1).
Sophomore Marie Lund-Hansen also moved up in the rankings, scoring in the top three with a total of 140(-4). Lund-Hansen tallied a 70 in both of the first two rounds, leaving her tied with three others for third.
Senior Alivia Brown improved her overall score and is tied for 13th after shooting a 69(-3) in the second round to bring her total to an even 144.
Redshirt freshman Emily Baumgart tallied a 76(+4) in round two, adding to her previous day score of 71(-2) for an overall 147(+3). Baumgart shares her total with 8 others and is tied for 28th.
The Cougars marked the second most pars made in the second round with 61, just one behind Oregon State's 62.
New Mexico took over 1st place with a two round score of 574(-2).
