PULLMAN, Wash. - Coug fans will get their first chance to see the 2017 Cougar Soccer Team, Wednesday, Aug. 9 at Lower Soccer Field when Washington State hosts Colorado State in a preseason exhibition contest at 11 am. The game will be open to the public with seating available on the southern hill and on the balcony of the Global Scholars Building due to the continuing construction at Lower Soccer Field. The exhibition contest will be the Cougs only warmup game of the preseason before kicking off the regular season on Aug. 18 against the reigning Big 10 champions, Minnesota.

The exhibition game with the Rams will be the second time the two teams have met one another in the preseason in as many years. Last season, the Cougs traveled to Fort Collins where the two teams finished a 90 minute battle knotted at 1-1.

The Cougs will get a chance to see their 14 new players in action for the first time against outside competition as the newcomers continue to integrate into the mix with 16 returning veterans. Last season, the Cougs were tough to beat at home in Lower Soccer Field posting an 8-3-1 overall mark in Pullman.

There will be no live video or live stats for the exhibition contest.
