Cougars Wrap Up Second Round Against Ranked Opponents

One WSU golfer remains in the top-25 through two rounds.

NAPA, Calif. – The Washington State women's golf team sits in 13th place after the second round of the Silverado Showdown, Monday, at the Silverado Resort & Spa.

WSU shot 13-over par on the day to bring its two-round total to 600 (+24). Pac-12 competitor and fourth-ranked Stanford continues to lead the 18-team field after shooting 12-under on the day (-17, 559).No. 5 UCLA remains in second with a two-round score of 564 (-12), while host-school Colorado rounds out the top-three at 1-over (577).

Leading the Cougars is freshman Marie Lund-Hansen, who remains in the top-25 and is tied for 16th place through two rounds. Lund-Hansen carded four birdies and shot even par in the second round, bringing her score to 144 (E). The freshman golfer trails first-place Andrea Lee of Stanford by eight strokes (-8, 136).

Senior Cherokee Kim shot 4-over on the day and is tied for 42nd through two rounds (+5, 149). Sophomore Madison Odiorne improved her first-round score by three strokes after shooting 3-over par in the second round and is tied for 68th (+9, 153).

Trailing Odiorne by one stroke is junior Bree Wanderscheid, who sits in 71st place with a two-round total of 154 (+10). Junior Alivia Brown is tied for 75th after shooting 6-over on the day (+12, 156).
