Get to know the Cougars' incoming freshmen before they put on the Crimson and Gray next season. This week's future Coug knew she wanted to be a Coug from the first time she stepped foot on campus. We get to know a little more about Aaqila McLyn from Long Beach, Calif.
What made you want to be a Coug?
I wanted to be a Coug since my first visit to the school from the beautiful campus, the great coaching staff and the good atmosphere. I also loved the college town feel and the the friendly people.
What do you love about soccer?
I love that soccer is so intense and you don't have to worry about anything else when you are on the field; you have a lot of teammates supporting you.
What do you hope to get out of your time at Washington State?
After my time at Washington State I hope to have the tools to help me achieve my goals in life while creating life-long friendships and to have fun along the way.

Who inspired you athletically to pursue your collegiate dreams?
My mother and my club coaches inspired me to pursue a collegiate soccer career by seeing the potential in me and always pushing me to get where I needed to. They gave me all the tools that I needed in order to be successful in the recruiting process.
