Get To Know Future Cougar, Gabriella Crenshaw

We asked the incoming freshmen some questions to get to know them better before they get to campus.

Get To Know (Crenshaw)Get To Know (Crenshaw)
Get to know the Cougars' incoming freshmen before they put on the Crimson and Gray next season. The week's future Coug featured was born to come to Washington State, Gabriella Crenshaw out of Marysville, Wash.

What made you want to be a Coug?
Being a Coug runs in the family. My oldest sister Megan attended Washington State and my other sister, Kelsee, still attends. I've been coming to visit the campus for years, whether it was just to visit or to watch a soccer game. WSU always felt like home and the campus is so cute and comfortable. Plus, I love the coaching staff and I could not see myself going anywhere else.

Who inspired you athletically to pursue your collegiate dreams?
I would have to say that my older siblings inspired me. I watched them play club soccer and then watched them go off and play college soccer. I just knew that's what I wanted to do. It was instant.

What do you love about soccer?
I love how competitive soccer is and what it brings out of me. Soccer is a huge outlet and I forget about every possible thing that might be troubling my mind when I'm on the field. Also, it has blessed me with some of the most amazing people; a bunch of girls sharing our love for the game by working hard for each other. There is absolutely nothing like it.

What do you hope to get out of your time at Washington State?
I hope to get a Public Relations degree, more knowledge of the game, and a new family of friends out of my time at Washington State.
