Cougars Wrap up First Two Rounds at Westbrook

The women's golf team will play the final round of the Westbrook Spring Invitational, Monday.

PEORIA, Ariz. – The Washington State women's golf team is in 13th place at 25-over par, 601, after two rounds of play, Sunday, at the Westbrook Spring Invitational at Peoria, Ariz.

WSU sits 25 strokes back of tournament-leader Kansas, who shot even par through two rounds (576). Kansas State is in second place after shooting 2-over on the day (578), while Illinois rounds out the top-three with a score of 580 (+4).

Leading the Cougars is freshman Marie Lund-Hansen, who carded six birdies on the day and is tied for 31st (148). Lund-Hansen shot 4-over through two rounds and trails leader Isabella DiLisio of Notre Dame by 10 strokes.

Junior Alivia Brown and senior Cherokee Kim are both tied for 41st with a two-round score of 150 (+10). In the first round, Brown shot even par and Kim carded three birdies on the front nine. 

Sophomore Madison Odiorne is tied for 54th place after shooting 9-over through two rounds (153). Freshman Elodie Bridenne improved her first round score by four strokes and is tied for 75th (+20, 164).

Competing as an individual, junior Bree Wanderscheid is tied for 31st with teammate Lund-Hansen after shooting even par in the second round (+4, 148).
