STANFORD, Calif. --The Washington State University women's golf team is in 10th place after one round of play at the Peg Barnard Invitational, Saturday, at Stanford Golf Course.
WSU shot 22-over par (306) on the day and is 20 strokes behind No. 1 Stanford who leads the field of 12 teams. Pac-12 competitors Oregon (+8, 292) and Colorado (+9, 293) are in second and third place, respectively.
Leading the Cougars is freshman Marie Lund-Hansen, who shot 2-over par in the first round and is tied for 12th place (73). With a score of 77 (+6), senior Cherokee Kim is tied for 33rd with seven other golfers.
Junior Alivia Brown and sophomore Madison Odiorne are both tied for 41st place after shooting 7-over (78) through one round of play. Freshman Elodie Bridenne carded an 82 (+11) on the day and is in 57th place.
