"I thought we came out really well, and were really aggressive from the beginning. It was tough to lose that second set, it was so close," Cougar Head Coach
Jen Greeny said. "We were up and then the momentum switched again and we lost a tight one in the third and then just didn't play very well at all in the fourth. They blocked exceptionally well tonight. As hitters, we have to be able to see that block and move the ball around. We struggled a little bit with passing at times, which made us a little more predictable, but they just did a fantastic job of shutting our offense down."
Â
"We definitely need to be more consistent in both from week to week and from match to match." Greeny said. "Casey played exceptionally well. I think she was supper aggressive and we have just been talking about that, that it doesn't matter, one mistake, to come back with an aggressive mentality and she certainly did that tonight. I think that we had some people that played really well tonight, and some that didn't and we have to be able to rely on everybody. We might need to mix our lineup a bit, and see what we can get going."
Â
Schoenlein said, "It's hard when you lose, and it's tough to look at the positives; you just want to think about what we can improve on. But I thought that we had some very aggressive moments in the match, we had some good coverage, and unfortunately we did not carry that all the way through tonight which would have helped us. I think the first thing we need to do is flush this loss. It's over and done, learn from it, take things we work on in practice tomorrow and apply it to the Oregon game."

WSU hosts No. 20 Oregon (15-6, 8-5), Friday night 3-0 upset winners over No. 8 UW, Sunday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. in a match to be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network.
