PULLMAN, Wash. – Fans of Washington State men's basketball can enjoy big giveaways, promotions, and ticket deals during the upcoming 2016-17 season.
All of the fun kicks off at the Cougars' exhibition against Carroll College Sunday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. at Beasley Coliseum. The first 500 fans will receive a 2016-17 schedule magnet.
The regular season begins Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, when the Cougars host Montana State at 4 p.m. at Beasley Coliseum. It will be Military Appreciation Day and the first 200 active military members, or Veterans will receive a free ticket to the game. There also will be a mini American flag giveaway.
All WSU students will be guaranteed free admission twice this year, when the Cougars are away from Pullman. The offer debuts when WSU plays Nov. 15 at the Toyota Center at Kennewick against Central Washington, and is also available Jan. 4, when the Cougars open Pac-12 play against Oregon State at the Spokane Arena.
When San Jose State comes to Pullman, Thanksgiving weekend (Sunday, Nov. 27), it marks the first of three Family Pack Ticket Deals on the season. The pack includes four tickets, four drinks, and four hot dogs and is also available Saturday, Dec. 3 (New Orleans) and Sunday, Dec. 17 (Santa Clara).
The Cougars host local rival Idaho Dec. 7, and there will be an "Always Bring It" T-shirt giveaway, before WSU plays two more games in Pullman when classes aren't in session for winter break. Along with the Dec. 17 Family Pack against Santa Clara, fans also have the option to purchase $10 tickets to the student section, and WSU will celebrate the holidays early (Dec. 21) against Sacramento State with opportunities for photos with Santa Butch and a Cougar stocking giveaway.
When the Cougars return to Pullman Jan. 7, it's 'Space Jam Day' and 'Dad's Day Out.' Fans will receive a 'Space Jam' poster, and there will be a CougSquad Jersey Giveaway for students. The 'Dad's Day Out' ticket offer features one adult and one youth ticket plus a Cougar baseball cap. Junior Cougars can also attend the game for free.
WSU debuts its 2016-17 Starting Five Ticket Deal (five tickets for $40) Jan. 18 against Utah. The other starting five night will be Feb. 1 vs. UCLA, which is also WSU Academic Night.
Colorado comes to town Saturday, Jan. 21 for Junior Cougar/Youth Sports Day. Again, Junior Cougars will receive free admission, and local youth can wear their sports jersey for a ticket discount. Two weeks later, (Saturday, Feb. 4) USC is in town for Teacher Appreciation Day, when all WSU faculty and staff and all teachers will receive a ticket discount.
The regular season winds down with ZZU CRU 'Weekend at Ernie's', Feb. 18 against Arizona State. There will be a Long-sleeved T-shirt Student Giveaway. The Cougars close the regular season, Feb. 26, when in-state rival Washington comes to Beasley for 'Senior Day.'
