Cougars To Play 12 Games Pac-12 Network In 2016-17

Washington State will have 12 games televised on the Pac-12 Network.

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's basketball team will have 12 games televised on the Pac-12 Network during the 2016-17 season, the Pac-12 Conference announced Wednesday.
 
"We are looking forward to competing in the number one women's basketball conference in the country. We will be ready!" said head coach June Daugherty who enters her 10th season at Washington State.

The Cougars, who return sophomore All-Pac-12 guard Borislava Hristova and junior Pac-12 All-Defensive Team honorable mention Caila Hailey, will make their first appearance of the season on the network Nov. 20 hosting Oklahoma State University at Beasley Coliseum. Last year, WSU traveled to Stillwater, Okla., to face the Cowgirls for the first time in school history.
 
Washington State will open Pac-12 play with three three straight road games beginning with rival University of Washington Dec. 27 in Seattle on the Pac-12 Network. WSU follows with a trip to face Oregon State University and the University of Oregon Dec. 30 and Jan. 1, respectively.
 
The Cougars return to Beasley to host UCLA and USC, Jan. 6 and Jan. 8, both on the Pac-12 Network before heading to the Arizona schools in mid-January, facing Arizona State University Jan. 13 and closing the trip with a televised contest against the University of Arizona Jan. 15.
 
Washington State wraps up the month of January with three straight home contests beginning with the return game with Washington, set for 1 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network Jan. 22. The northern California schools visit Pullman for the final weekend of the month with Stanford University set for Jan. 27 and the University of California Jan. 29, both games will be televised.
 
The opening weekend of February will see the Cougars head to the University of Colorado for a Feb. 3 televised contest before matching up at the University of Utah Feb. 5. The Arizona schools return to Pullman the following week with Arizona State set for Feb. 10 and Arizona for a Pac-12 Network game Feb. 12.
 
WSU will make its final regular season road trip in mid-February to face USC and UCLA, Feb. 17 and Feb. 19, respectively, both on the Pac-12 Network. The Cougars will close out the regular season hosting the mountain schools the final week of February beginning with a Feb. 23 televised matchup against Utah and will face Colorado Feb. 25 for senior day.

The Networks will conclude its fifth season of game coverage with 10 games of the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament beginning Thursday, March 2 with four exciting games.

The Cougars will begin their 2016-17 campaign with an exhibition matchup against Alaska-Anchorage, Sunday, Nov. 6 at Beasley Coliseum. The two sides have not faced each other in over 30 years, last playing in Anchorage in 1982.
 
Single-game tickets go on sale Oct. 3 for season ticket holders and CAF members, and single-game tickets available to the general public Oct. 17.
