Men's Golf in Second Through Two

Four players are in the top 25 after two rounds of the PING Cougar Classic.

PROVO, Utah – The Washington State men's golf team is in second after two rounds of play at the PING Cougar Classic, Monday, at the Riverside Country Club.

WSU (-9, 567) is 13 strokes behind tournament-leader BYU, which leads the field of 10 with a two-round total of 554 (-22). Wyoming rounds out the top three after shooting 5-under par through two rounds.

Four Cougars are in the top 25, with sophomore Derek Bayley leading the way in ninth. Bayley shot even with par in the first round and 4-under par in the second to record a two-round score of 140 (-4).

Senior Evan Omelia and freshman Aaron Whalen are tied for 12th at 2-under par (142), one stroke in front of sophomore teammate Zach Anderson, who is tied for 18th (-1, 143).

Freshman AJ Armstrong is tied for 36th (+3, 147). Junior Nick Mandell, competing as an individual, is tied for 51st (+8, 152).
