Cougar Swimming, Wetterstrom Earn National Ranking

WSU appears No. 26 while Presley Wetterstrom owns one of top times in the country.

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State swimming continues to appear in the national rankings after a solid showing at The Ohio State Invitational last weekend, earning a No. 26 ranking in the latest collegeswimming.com national poll.

Senior Presley Wetterstrom led the Cougars with a record-setting win in the 200 Breaststroke, touching the wall in a school-record 2:11.24, good for an NCAA Standard “B” mark and the 12th-best time in the country this season. The win was her team-leading seventh of the season.

Washington State finished fourth at the Ohio State Invitational while competing against No. 5 Florida, No. 7 Kentucky, No. 11 Ohio State and No. 41 Miami. WSU is the third-highest ranked Pac-12 Conference team in the latest poll.

The Cougars will have the Thanksgiving holiday weekend off before returning to action Dec. 5 at Seattle University.
