Men's Golf Wraps up Second Round

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Washington State University men's golf team is in 15th place (+43, 619) after shooting 24-over par (312) in the second round at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, Monday, at Isleworth Golf and Country Club.
“We have 18 more holes and hopefully the worst is behind us,” WSU Head Coach Garrett Clegg said. “It's a hard golf course, but other teams are competing well. We need to execute tomorrow and improve our final score.”
The other two Pac-12 schools competing in the tournament lead the field. No. 30 California sits in first with a two-round score of 569 (-7), while No. 11 Arizona State is tied for second with No. 1 Illinois at 578 (+2). North Florida is in fourth at 583 (+7).
Sophomore Derek Bayley shot 6-over (78) in the second round to bring his two-round score to 150. Bayley is in an eight-way tie for 36th, 13 strokes back of co-leaders Max Rotluff of Arizona State and Collin Morikawa of California (-7, 137).
Freshman AJ Armstrong shot 4-over (76) in the second round to move eight spots up the leaderboard. Armstrong is now tied for 60th at 155.
Sophomore Zach Anderson is tied for 65th with a two-round score of 156. Freshman Aaron Whalen is in 68th (+14, 158) and junior Nick Mandell is in 75th (+18, 162).
