Volleyball Travels to Texas for Showdown

Coming off back-to-back tournament wins, WSU heads to Texas Tech for the Lone Star Showdown this Friday and Saturday.

WSU VOLLEYBALL GOES DEEP INTO THE HEART OF TEXAS
The Washington State University volleyball team (8-1) coming off back-to-back tournament wins takes to the road for the final pre-conference competiton this season...Cougars travel to Lubbock, Texas to play in the Lone Star Showdown Sept. 18-19 in the United Supermakets Arena...Friday, WSU plays Northwestern State (2-8) at11:30 a.m. PT and then takes on host Texas Tech (8-2* pending 9/15 match at UTEP) at 5 p.m. PT...Saturday is another early match with the Cougars playing Portland State (3-6) at 9 a.m. PT...radio coverage listed on page 2.

Jen Stinson Greeny is in her fifth season as WSU's head coach (61-77 at WSU, 5 years; 173-101 in career, 9 years) - complete Greeny bio on page 5...assistant coaches Burdette Greeny (fifth year) and Shannon Hunt (third year)...all coaches are former WSU student-athletes...volunteer coach James Dorr (first year)...Katie Hinrichs is coordinator of operations (fifth year).
