WSU CAREER. SOPHOMORE (2011-12): Indoor - Ran PR time in 60m hurdles o 8.28i at Husky Classic (2/11/12, Seattle)...at MPSF Championships finished seventh in 60m hurdles (8.38i)...Outdoor - Ran non-winded PR in 110m hurdles of 15.03 at Stanford Invite (4/6/12)...overall PR time in high hurdles of 14.82w was run at Vandal Outdoor Jamboree (5/5/12, Moscow)...named to Pac-12 All-Academic track and field honorable mention team.
FRESHMAN (2010-11): Indoor - Ran 60m hurdles time of 8.35i at both WSU Indoor Open II and at Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships where he was 12th (2/26/11 Seattle)...Outdoor - Redshirt season...clocked in 110m hurdles time of 15.21 at Trojan Invitational (3/19/11, Los Angeles)...best 400m hurdles time of 56.06 at Sam Adams Classic at Whitworth (4/2/11, Spokane).
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned three letters in track and field at Walla Walla High for coach Eric Hisaw...Blue Devils track team won the Columbia Basin Big Nine title twice during Gerling career...sophomore year qualified for regionals in 110m hurdles...junior season qualified for state 4A meet in both 110m and 300m hurdles...as a senior was team captain, MVP, most inspirational and high-point scorer...won Pasco Invitational high hurdles...regional record-holder in intermediate hurdles with PR time of 37.77...won 110m hurdles at regional meet in PR time of 14.31...placed third at state 4A championships in 110m hurdles and sixth in the 300m hurdles...named scholar-athlete.
