SAMMAMISH, Wash.-The Cougars posted a second-round 315 (+27) in day two of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational Tuesday. WSU sits in 12th place at 637 (+61) heading into Wednesday's final round.
Sophomore Mallory Kent led WSU with a second-round 76 (+4), putting her in a tie for 22nd place.
Junior Emma Betland shot an 80 (+6) while freshman Kristen Rue posted a 79 (+7), improving two strokes from Monday's first round. Senior Kristen Allard and junior Brenda Jesernig both carded 81 (+9), improving three and six strokes, respectively.
The tournament concludes Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
