"I thought Oregon played a good all-around game but when we did what we were supposed to do, we did pretty well matching up with them," Cougar Head Coach Andrew Palileo said. "We started out too slow and there was a lack of communication between players. We gave them too big of a head start and we can't play from behind like that. We put ourselves in a bind. We won a couple of long rallies and when we executed our game plan, we did it pretty well, (but) we just didn't do it enough times against a good team."
Washington State takes on Oregon State (7-8 overall, 0-1 Pac-10) in Corvallis, Saturday night.
