TUCSON, Ariz. - The Washington State women's golf team finished 17th after the opening day of the Mountain View Collegiate at the par-72, 6,263-yard Mountain View Golf Course.

The women played 36 holes Saturday, which will be followed by a final 18-hole round on Sunday. The Cougars opened the tournament by posting a first-round total of 307, and a second round-total of 313.

Senior Amy Eneroth finished first for WSU, carding an even-par 72 during the second round to give her a two-round total of 149 (+5). Eneroth is currently in a tie for 29th and will head into the final round in search of her 35th career top-25 finish.

Kristen Allard finished second for the Cougars after the first two rounds. The freshman out of Porterville, Calif., finished with a tournament total of 154 (+11), after tallying a three-over 75 during the first round.

Fellow freshman Andrea Rosete finished the day with a total of 158 and was followed by Lauren Howell and Jessica Black who posted a 161 and 162, respectively.

The women will look to improve their position during the final round which will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
