FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - The Washington State University women's swim team achieved season best times in the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle at the Pacific-10 Championship in Federal way, Wash.

The 200 medley relay team consisting of Monika Povilonyte, Erin McCleave, Bryn Mooney and Katie Van Horne swam a time of 1:44.76 to top their previous season best time of 1:46.35, which was set at the Princeton Invitational in Dec.

In the 800 freestyle the Cougars were led by McCleave, Lina Daugvilaite, Maegan Wood and Kayli Changstrom who swam a time of 7:29.15 to set a new season best.

In the first leg of the race McCleave swam a 1:49.46 for a season best time in the 200 freestyle.

Jane Copland swam a 1:52.46 as the first leg of the Cougars 800 freestyle "B" relay team. Her time moves her into seventh place on the Cougar all-time top 10 list.

After day one WSU is in ninth place with 84 points, two behind the University of Washington.

The Pac-10 Swimming Championship will continue Feb. 24-26 at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. Wash.
