Junction City, Ore. - Washington State Captain Ryan Camp flew through the first two rounds of the Duck Invitational by firing two sub-par rounds and sits tied for third place of the Oregon Duck Invitational at Shadow Hills Country Club, a par 72, 6,802 yard course Monday.
Camp opened the tournament with a 1-under 71 in the first round, and followed it up with a 3-under 69, his second lowest round of the year. He currently sits with a score of 140 (-4) and is just two strokes off the leader, Jonathan Green of Oregon State.
The Cougars hold sole position of eighth place in the 14-team field. By shooting a team score of 296 (+8) in the second round, they improved their first round score by four strokes and gives them a 36-hole total of 596 (+20).
Jordan Madison sits tied for 36th place by shooting a 6-over 150. Freshmen Kevin Chen and Logan Toskey both shot a 9-over 153 for the day. Teammate Ben Bryson also shot a 153 playing unattached. Chad Carlson finished with a 160, and Matt Fladwood rounded out the Cougar contingent with a 162.
The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
