WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington State golfer Michael Andersonhas been named to the 2013 Pac-12 Conference All-Academic First Team, the conference announced Thursday.
Anderson, a sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., carries a 3.71 grade point average and has yet to declare a major. He was recognized in his first year of eligibility.
On the course this season Anderson played in 13 events, finishing with a 74.23 stroke average. He captured his first career individual title at the WSU-hosted Snowman Getaway in February; one of three top 10 finishes on the season. His season-low round of 65 came in the second round of the Snowman Getaway.
Senior Hank Frame and redshirt-sophomore Sang Lee each earned honorable mention. It is the second career all-academic honor for Frame who was a second team selection as a sophomore in 2011.
