Biography

McCOMBER'S WSU CAREER. REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2020): Appeared in all 16 matches during her second full season as a Coug, starting at libero in nearly all of those contests...Aria went on to post a career-high in digs during a home match against Oregon, totaling 20 on the night, along with contributing three assists...McComber finished the year with 158 total digs, 2.55 digs per set, and four service aces as well, helping lead the Cougs to a fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance...Made the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll list for a second straight year.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2019): Made the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll list... In her first season of action she played in 29 matches and 74 sets....On the year she had 99 digs and nine serving aces.  

FRESHMAN (2018): Practiced with the team, but did not see game action.

McCOMBER'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned two varsity letters at the Punahou School in volleyball for coach Tanya Fuamatu-Anderson…volleyball team captain senior season…honorable mention selection to the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) All-Stars as a junior and All-State Fab 15 honorable mention in 2016…Punahou volleyball team took third place at the 2017 Ann Kang Invitational Tournament…member of Imi Ike Volleyball Club that captured fifth place at the 2016 AAU Championships and fifth place in the National Division at the 2017 Girls Junior National Championships….member of the 2015 and 2016 USAV High Performance Aloha Region teams…2016 squad won the High Performance Aloha Region Championship after the 2015 squad finished as runners-up…playing for Manoa Beach Club in 2017, placed fifth in National Division of Girls Junior National Championships.
 
PERSONAL. Born in April 2000…mother Kelii Simmons is an executive assistant…older brother Drake Simmmons...younger sister Alexandria Bennett…awarded Myron and Laura Thompson Endowed Scholarship which recognizes students who make significant contributions in athletics, school, good citizenship and work with the coaches' expectation and philosophy and gets along with teammates…won 2015 Luke Center for Chinese Language Award…awarded 2016 Bronze medal in the University of Hawai'i Engineering Olympics…grandfather, Tom Haine, was the captain of the 1968 U.S. Olympic Team and one of the leading players of his generation…first name is Keliiakekaipukaamakahunaiikapoliokealoha but she goes by Aria…graduated with a 3.68 GPA…plans to study nursing at WSU.
