RS-JUNIOR (2015-16) –Played 23 games for the Cougars, notching 13 starts…averaged 14.9 minutes per game…missed eight games due to a foot injury…averaged 3.8 points and 2.7 rebounds a game…led the team with 50 total blocks, averaging 2.2 a game…in just his second game with WSU, blocked a career-high six shots against Idaho State (Nov. 20), adding a career-high 7 rebounds…scored a career-high 10 points in that game, his first of three 10-point games…averaged 3.3 blocked shots per game in the team’s first 10 games, including four against then-No. 13/12 Gonzaga (Dec. 2)…scored 10 points against New Mexico at the Diamond Head Classic at Honolulu, Hawaii (Dec. 25)…made a career-high 4 free throws in that game and dished out a career-high 2 assists…in his return from a foot injury, scored 10 points and tied his career high with 7 boards while blocking 3 shots against Arizona State (Feb. 6)…blocked 5 shots in 19 minutes in the team’s season finale against Colorado at the Pac-12 Tournament (March 9)… ranks on WSU’s single-season list for blocked shots (seventh – 50) and blocks average (fourth – 2.17)…ranks on WSU’s junior single-season list for blocked shots (third – 50) and blocks average (second – 2.17)…named to Pac-12 All-Academic Second team with a 3.13 grade point average.

HOUSTON (2012-14) – Played his freshman and sophomore seasons at the University of Houston…played in 20 games as a freshman in 2012-13 and four as a sophomore in 2013-14…as a FRESHMAN, finished with 22 blocks, the seventh-highest single-season total in Houston history…blocked a career-high 4 shots in his collegiate debut at San Jose State, Nov. 13, 2012, adding 4 rebounds and 2 points…scored a career-high 9 points against Chicago State, Dec. 22, and averaged 2.0 points and 1.1 blocks per game in 8.0 minutes an outing during his rookie season.
HIGH SCHOOL – Competed for head coach Luke Lucky at Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg, Texas where he helped lead his team to a 27-9 record and 13-1 mark in league play as a senior…prior to LCHS spent three years at Cypress Lakes for head coach Emmanuel Olatunbosun before transferring.
PERSONAL – Born Valentine Chimezie Izundu, Feb. of 1995 in Charlotte, N.C….mother Stella Izundu is a hair stylist…graduated with social sciences from WSU following redshirt junior season and transferred.
