RS-FRESHMAN (2025): Enrolled in January and participated in spring practice...appeared in all 12 games, mostly on special teams…played 219 special teams snaps…recorded three tackles, tied for team-lead in special teams tackles, made two stops on kickoff and one on punt coverage…made one stop in win at Colorado State…had one tackle at Oregon State…recorded one tackle at No. 21 James Madison…played 19 special teams snaps against Utah State in Famous Idaho Potato Bowl win.

Carsten excelled in all phases of the game, earning conference player of the year as both a quarterback and safety at Sedro-Woolley High School ... also received all-conference accolades as a punter ... a dual-threat quarterback, he passed for 1,182 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 games as a senior, while also rushing for a team-best 908 yards ... also competed as a sprinter on the track and field team ... honor student.
