SENIOR (2018-19): Cross Country - Competed in four total races during his senior season, seeing his best finish at the Pac-12 Championships, placing 49th overall with a time of 24:34.7...Was selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic team for his third overall all-academic pick from the conference...Indoor - Ran 4:02.43 for the mile at UW Last Chance Elite Meet, winning his heat. At the MPSF Championships placed 3rd and broke the 4-minute mile clocking 3:58.79, qualifying for the NCAA Indoor Championships. At the NCAA Indoor Championships placed 8th in his heat, 16th overall with a time of 4:12.07, earning Second Team All-American Status...Outdoor - Made 5000m debut at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 13:55.89, Won the 1500m (3:50.37) at the UW-WSU Dual meet. Placed 8th in the 1500m Final at the PAC-12 Championships, Qualified to NCAA West Preliminaries. Later in the Summer, clocked a 1500m PR of 3:40.98 in Portland, qualifying for the USATF Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
JUNIOR (2017-18): Cross Country - At Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational finished fifth on team/91st overall...at Nuttycombe Invitational finished fifth on team/147th overall...at Pac-12 Championships finished 56th overall/seventh on team...at NCAA West Region Championships finished fifth on team/74th overall...at NCAA Championships finished sixth on team/232 overall…named to Pac-12 Cross Country All-Academic honorable mention team...Indoor - Ran 4:06.01 for mile at the Husky Classic, Outdoor- at the Stanford Invite placed 2nd in his heat and clocked 3:47.85 for 1500m, placed 3rd at the UW-WSU Dual 1500m, placed 17th over 1500m at the Pac-12 Championships.
SOPHOMORE (2016-17): Cross Country - Finished Sundodger 10th overall/seventh on team...at Notre Dame Joe Piane Invite 182nd overall/fifth on team...at Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invite 158th overall/sixth on team...at Pac-12 Championships sixth on team/40th overall...at NCAA West Region 10k finished sixth on team/65th overall (30:58.6)...at NCAA Championships, sixth Cougar, 220th overall...WSU team took 14th-place…named to Pac-12 Cross Country All-Academic honorable mention team…Indoor - At MPSF Championships (2/25/17, Seattle) finished third in the DMR and ran mile PR with a time of 4:06.31i, finishing 11th…Outdoor - Ran 1500m PR and finished seventh with a time of 3:47.44 at Mt. SAC Relays (4/15/17, Norwalk)…at Cougar Invitational finished third and ran 800m PR with a time of 1:51.23…at Pac-12 Championships finished 17th in 1500m (3:51.46)…ran PR time of 3:46.07 in 1500m at Stumptown Twilight in Portland 6//16... named to Pac-12 T&F All-Academic Second Team.
FRESHMAN (2015-16): Cross Country - Finished 31st overall at the Clash of Inland NW 6k in time of 19:04.4...seventh Cougar, 17th overall at Sundodger 8k in time of 25:04.16..at Washington Invite, seventh on team, 92nd overall with 8k time of 25:12.7...at PreNats 8k was 254th overall, seventh on team (25:21.3)...at Pac-12 Championships took 72nd (25:29.5)…Indoor - On squad that broke freshman school DMR record with time of 9:59.67i at UW Invite (1/30/16, Seattle)…at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships ran mile in 4:09.88 (17th), 800m in 1:54.16 (23rd) and ran leg of DMR that finished seventh in 9:53.49i…Outdoor - Redshirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned twelve varsity letters at Logos High School…four in track and field under coach John Carnahan…four in cross country under coach, and mother, Allison Ryan…four in basketball as a guard under coach Matt Whitling…accolades from the basketball court include two-time first team All-White Pine League and two-time all-state - second team as junior and first team as senior when Logos was runner-up in championships…at state 1A/2A cross country championships, was runner-up as sophomore and won title as senior, out-distancing the runner-up by 15 seconds, leading the Logos Knights to a second-place finish…finished 17th at 2014 Nike Cross Northwest regional meet…during track competition, won back-to-back-to-back 3200m titles at the state 1A champion meet…junior added state titles in 800m, 1600m and the sprint relay…in 2015 won 400m (50.58), 800m (1:55.64), 1600m (4:24.39) and 3200m (9:25.02)…ran a 3200m PR time at Arcadia Invite of 9:02.06…at the 2015 Portland Track Festival won the boys invitational mile with a time of 4:06.21.
PERSONAL. Born in May 1997, in Whitefish, Montana…father Mark is an engineer….mother Allison is a homemaker who ran track at University of Idaho and coaches cross country at Logos High School…older sisters Rachel, Bekah, Lizzy, and Lydia…older brothers Luke and Daniel…enjoys hiking and playing tennis….majoring in accounting at WSU
