PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State football continued spring practice Saturday, working out for a little over two hours in helmets and shorts in Martin Stadium.

The Cougars worked through a similar routine as Thursday's practice, going through individual position workouts before moving into 7-vs.-7, punt coverage and finishing the day with two team segments. Connor Halliday led the first series and Austin Apodaca ran the second series.

Halliday capped his series with touchdown pass to Rickey Galvin in traffic while Apodaca completed a couple nice throws to Kristoff Williams and Dominique Williams early in his series. Marcus Mason opened Apodaca's series with a long run down the left sideline and Teondray Caldwell capped the day with a touchdown run off the right side.

The defense turned in a couple highlights for the second straight practice as Mitchell Peterson picked off a Halliday pass before Kalafitoni Pole and Ivan McLennan each recorded "sacks" on Apodaca during his series.

Washington State will practice in helmets and shoulder pads for the first time this spring, Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Rogers Field and Martin Stadium.
