Biography

PUKIS' WSU CAREER. REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2020): During her second season with the Cougars, Pukis saw her game elevated from a year ago...Hannah went on to lead the Cougs in assists once again, totaling 577 overall and recording 9.31 assists per set as well...She went on to start all 16 matches at setter for WSU, and finished the year ranked fifth overall in the Pac-12 in total assists, despite playing eight less matches than the assists leader that season...Pukis was also fifth in the conference in assists per set at 9.31 also...Hannah finished the year earning a First Team All-Pac-12 nod, and also earning a First Team AVCA Pacific North All-Region selection as well...She capped off the year earning a Honorable Mention AVCA All-American selection...During March of 2020 Hannah was chosen for the U.S. Women's Collegiate National Volleyball Team - Anaheim (CNT-Anaheim) elite roster, which did not compete unfortunately due to COVID-19.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2019): Coming off her redshirt season Pukis played 113 sets... she lead the team in sets with 1104 and a set assist ratio of 9.77... was an All-Pac-12 honorable mention and made the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and was also named to the VolleyballMag.com Freshman All-Americans team as a honorable mention... she was third on the team with 276 digs. 

FRESHMAN (2018): Practiced with the team, but did not see game action.

PUKIS' HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned four varsity letters at Bellarmine Prep as a setter/right side hitter for volleyball coach Caroline Meines…the Lions volleyball team were Washington 4A state champions in 2014, sixth in 2015 and third in 2016…a four-time 4A All-South Puget Sound League first team selection…league MVP in 2016…named to all-state team in 2015 and 2016…named to All-Area second team in 2015 and first team in 2016 and 2017…member of Kent Juniors Volleyball Club U13 through U18 teams…selected to the Emerald City Classic U16 All-Tournament team when that squad was runner-up in the Patriot Division at the USAV National Championships….as a beach player, was on 2014 Doubles and Quad U14 Seaside Beach Champion teams…2015 Doubles U18 and 2016 Doubles U16 teams were runners-up at Seaside Beach Tournaments.
 
PERSONAL. Born in September 2000…father Brien Pukis is a consultant…mother Erika Currier…older sister Reghan Pukis played volleyball at the University of Portland…grandfather played baseball and football at Wisconsin…planning to major in international business and economics at WSU.
