JUNIOR (2015-16): Cross Country - Took 23rd place at Clash of Inland NW, running 4k in time of 14:57.5...at Sundodger 6k was seventh on team and 54th overall finisher in time of 22:49.03...seventh Cougar and 85th overall finisher at Washington Invite 6k in time of 21:50.5...seventh on team, 164th overall at PreNats with 6k time of 22:59.5...at Pac-12 Championships was eighth Cougar, 93rd overall in time of 22:34.1…named to Pac-12 All-Academic cross country honorable mention team…Indoor - At Cougar Indoor, ran 3000m in 10:53.94i…top mile time of season was 5:25.47i at UW Preview, just off PR time…Outdoor - Ran 1500m time of 4:58.90 at Sam Adams Classic.

SOPHOMORE (2014-15): Cross Country - At Clash of the Inland Northwest took 51st with a 4k time of 15:47.5....finished 343th at Sundodger 6k (23:23)...at Inland Empire Challenge 5k in Lewiston was third Cougar and 60th overall (18:59)…named to Pac-12 All-Academic cross country honorable mention team…Indoor - Improved PR time in mile to 5:25.44i at UW Indoor Preview (1/17/15, Seattle)…Outdoor - Dropped 1500m PR time to 4:58.36 at Cougar Invite (4/25/15, Pullman).

FRESHMAN (2013-14): Cross Country - At Clash of the Inland Northwest took 54th overall on 4,200m course in time of 16:09...76th overall at Sundodger Invitational 6k (24:05)...fourth Cougar finisher, 32nd overall at Erik Anderson Invitational 6k (24:44.49)...92nd overall at Inland Empire Classic 5k (19:35)…Indoor - Top time in 800m was 2:26.85i at Idaho Open (1/25/14, Moscow)…ran mile in a time of 5:38.46i at WSU Open II (2/22/14, Pullman)…Outdoor - Ran 1500m time of 5:06.61 at SCC WAR VII meet (4/12/14, Spokane).

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned nine varsity letters at Pullman High…four as a soccer outside midfielder for coach Doug Winchell…one in basketball for coach Juston Pollestad…four in track for coach Mike Hinz…senior year tabbed All-Great Northern League second team in soccer…soccer captain…Greyhounds soccer team took fifth in state 2A…on the track, all-league first team as freshman and again as a senior, second team as a junior…PHS girls 4x400m relay team finished third at 2013 state 2A Championships meet.

Born December 1994, in Las Cruces, New Mexico…father Dennis is the WSU Director of Student Health Services…mother Regina is a medical coder…older sisters Alisha De La Cruz (2002 WSU grad), Anissa Garcia (2013 WSU grad) and Ariana Garcia, currently a senior at WSU…older brother Daniel Sanchez…enjoys playing the guitar and ukulele…graduated with 3.8 GPA…honors graduate…president of Key Club, class secretary and senior officer for Fellowship of Christian Athletes…pre-kinesiology major at WSU.
