Bils, Johansson Among Top-10 in Day One of WCC Championships

PULLMAN, Wash. (April 17, 2025) – Sarah Skovgaard Bils and Alice Johansson each finished among the Top-10 in the opening round of the 2025 West Coast Conference Championships in Northern California Thursday morning.

The championships are being held at the Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif.

Skovgaard Bils and Johansson each carded opening-rounds of 73 to sit tied for ninth at one-over. Bils tallied four birdies while Johansson recorded two and fired a one-under 35 on the back nine. Madelyn Gamble and Hannah Harrison were one shot back at 74 to tie for 15th.

The Cougars finished the opening round tied with San Francisco at +6, five strokes behind third-base Pepperdine and eight behind co-leaders Santa Clara and Oregon State.

The Course and Tournament Format
The WCC Championships at the Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif.

The course plays as a par-72 at 6,170 yards.
Teams will play 18 holes each day starting at 7:30 a.m.
