A.J. McGloflin set a personal-best and seventh-best indoor high jump in program history in Albuquerque Friday evening. Eight more WSU athletes set personal bests on the day.

Husky Classic – Seattle, Wash.
Kurui became the fastest 5000-meter indoor runner in program history, setting a personal best time of 13:17.16. The time was nearly 17 seconds faster than the previous record holder, John Ngeno, who set the record in 1976, until tonight the oldest standing indoor record at WSU. Kurui won the race by four seconds, setting a meet record and Dempsey Indoor record, while also posting the ninth-fastest 5000-meter time in NCAA Division 1 this season. Freshman Josphat Meli also impressed in the race, finishing tenth with a time of 13:47.61, the fourth-fastest time in program history.

Alaina Stone Boggs also put her name into the history books at the Husky Classic, becoming the third fastest women's 5000-meter indoor runner in program history. Her time of 16:16.88 was good for 15th place.

Tiger Paw Invitational - Clemson, S.C.
Buckmiller's time of 46.20 seconds was 0.02 seconds faster than he previous school-record of 46.22, set last weekend at the Riverfront Invitational in Spokane. Buckmiller finished 10th overall in a competitive field in Clemson, South Carolina. He now holds the best 300-meter and 400-meter times in WSU history after the impressive race today.

In the women's 60-meter hurdles,
Micaela De Mello finished fourth with a time of 8.05 seconds. She ran an impressive 8.06 in the semis to qualify her for the final. Her time of 8.05 was only 0.03 seconds off her personal best time that is currently second in WSU history.

Whitworth Invitational – Spokane, Wash.
Hottman won the men's weight throw with a distance of 18.28 meters, 0.11 meters better than second place.
Tristian Webb (17.70 meters) and
Mason Andulajevic (17.21 meters) both set personal best times, finishing third and fourth respectively.
Kai Twaddle-Dunham also set a personal best finishing sixth with a throw of 16.47 meters.

In the women's pole vault,
Chloe Metz recorded a season-best height of 3.95 meters, which secured her spot on the podium, finishing third. She hit 3.95 on the second try and ultimately could not hit the next height of 4.10 meters.

Don Kirby Elite Invitational – Albuquerque, N.M.
A.J. McGloflin was the sole Coug to participate at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational Friday. McGloflin set the tone with a personal-best height of 2.18 meters (7'1 .75"), finishing tied first overall in the field. His attempts at 2.03 meters and 2.08 meters were hit flawlessly on the first try. It then took him all three tries on 2.13 meters and then again on 2.18 meters but perfected the jump on the third try. His mark of 2.18m ranks seventh all-time in WSU's indoor history. Â
