PULLMAN, Wash. (November 3, 2025) – Washington State Baseball announced its 2026 schedule Monday afternoon.

The Cougars' 2026 schedule features 12 games against four NCAA Tournament teams, 15 games against future Pac-12 Conference members and three games against Big 12 Conference teams along with six home series including a two-game home set against Oregon State.

For the second straight season, WSU opens the season at an SEC opponent, heading to Tuscaloosa for a three-game series at Alabama (February 13-15). The Cougars opened the season with four games at eventual College World Series participant Arkansas. WSU is 1-3 all-time against the Crimson Tide, beating Alabama during the 1950 College World Series and last met for a three-game series in Tuscaloosa during the 2018 season.

The following two weeks will see the Cougars head to the state of California for an eight-game road trip. WSU opens the stretch with a four-game series at Cal Poly (February 20-23) after the Mustangs won the Big West Conference Tournament to earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Cougars will stay in California the following week to play four games in Long Beach, Calif., two against BYU (February 26-27) and two against Long Beach State (February 27-March 1). WSU is 26-19 all-time against BYU including a 6-1 WSU win in the last meeting, 2023 in Pullman. Washington State will face Long Beach State for the first time since 2018.

WSU will open the first full week of March with a four-game series at future Pac-12 Conference member Texas State (March 5-8) in San Marcos, marking the first meeting between the two programs since 2014. TSU is set to join the league next fall. The Cougars will cap the season-opening five-week road stretch with a three-game series at future Pac-12 member San Diego State (March 13-15) to open Mountain West Conference play. WSU follows up the SDSU series with a midweek road contest at Utah (March 17).

Following the first five weeks on the road, the Cougars will close the month of March with back-to-back home series beginning with a weekend series against new Mountain West member Grand Canyon (March 20-22). The all-time series between the two is tied at 3-3-1, it will be the Antelopes first trip to Pullman and first series between the two since 1996. WSU has won the last two midweek matchups in Phoenix (2018, 2024). The Cougars will head to Spokane for a midweek contest at future Pac-12 member Gonzaga (March 24) before returning to Bailey-Brayton Field for a weekend series against Nevada (March 27-29).

Following a midweek at Seattle U (March 31), WSU opens April with a trip to San Jose State (April 2-4) after taking two of three from the Spartans in Pullman last season.

In early April, Washington State opens a six-game homestand beginning with a two-game set against Oregon State (April 6-7). WSU is 235-218-3 all-time against the Beavers and OSU is coming off a College World Series appearance. Later that week the Cougars host a nonconference series against Gardner-Webb (April 9-11) who will make the trek from North Carolina for the first meeting between the two schools. WSU will wrap up the homestand with a single-game against Portland (April 13).

WSU will head to the desert for four games beginning with a matchup at Utah Tech (April 15) followed by a weekend series at UNLV (April 17-19).

The Cougars return to Bailey-Brayton Field for a seven-game homestand in late April and early May. WSU hosts Gonzaga (April 21) followed back-to-back home series against New Mexico (April 24-26) and future Pac-12 member Fresno State (May 1-3).

Washington State opens a four-game road trip with a Monday meeting at Gonzaga (May 4) followed by a three-game series at Air Force (May 8-10) in Colorado Springs. WSU will close out the season against Seattle U (May 12).
