Cougs Conclude the ASU PING Invitational

PHOENIX – The Washington State women's golf team concluded the ASU PING Invitational in 14th place on the team leaderboard, as the Cougars carded 908 (+44) during the three-day stay at the Papago Golf Course.
Fifth-year senior Marie Lund-Hansen finished the ASU PING Invitation on a high note, as the golfer from Denmark shot one-under par; 71 in Sunday's third round. Lund-Hansen collected three birdies over her final 18 holes of play, as she ends her tournament in a tie for 42nd on the player leaderboard with a score of 223 (+9).
As a team, WSU carded 301 (+13) in the final round on Sunday. The Cougs finish the ASU PING Invitational with a team score of 908 (+44) to end the tournament in 14th.
"The players battled and put their focus on staying present and hitting one shot at-a-time," said head coach Kelli Kamimura. "We had several players shoot their season-low round this week and we look forward to building on that for Silverado.
Junior Amy Chu finished the third round at two-over par; 74. The Sydney, Australia native ended the tournament with a score of 227 (+11). Junior Cameron March matched Lund-Hansen with three birdies, as she finished the third round six-over par; 78.
Arizona State and Oregon each took a share of the team title, as each team finished the ASU PING Invitational carding two-under par; 862. Northwestern's Kelly Sim captured the tournament's individual title with a score of 211 (-5).
Washington State will be back in action April 5-7, as they head to the Silverado Showdown in Napa, California.
