Alivia Brown ended the first day in a tie for sixth in the standings.
TEMPE, Ariz. - The WSU women's golf team wrapped up the first round of the PING/ASU Invitational Friday, coming in tied for seventh place with No.36 UNLV and Oregon. The Cougars put up a 297(+9), sitting two strokes behind No.18 Colorado. Four ranked teams currently occupy the top-five, including No.16 Washington who is currently leading the tournament with a 284(-4).

Senior Alivia Brown, ranked No.76, came up with four birdies on the day to close out the opening 18 holes at 70(-2) overall. Brown will go into the second round tied for sixth place with two others.

Junior Madison Odiorne joins Brown in the top-25, sitting tied for 23rd following the round. Odiorne marked an even 35 in the front nine holes, and followed up with a 38(+1) in the back to bring her overall to 73(+1).

Sophomore Marie Lund-Hansen started off her round strong, scoring an even 37 in her first nine holes. Lund-Hansen is tied for 46th, with a total of 76(+4).

Competing as an individual, sophomore Elodie Bridenne marked a 77(+5) for the day, positioning her tied for 51st. Senior Bree Wanderscheid sits one stroke back from Bridenne, tying for 56th with a 78(+6).
