Brock Eager and
Zak Kindl had winning performances Thursday at the Pine Bowl/Boppell Track on the Whitworth University in Spokane.

Eager, a redshirt junior from Renton, Wash., overcame the elements to win the men's hammer with a season-best throw of 220-feet 6 inches (67.22m). Redshirt senior
Wyatt Meyring (Edmonds, Wash.) threw a season-best 189-4 (57.70m) for third place among the 24 competitors.

Martin, a redshirt sophomore from Seattle, won the women's hammer with a throw of 174-8 (53.23m).

In the men's 5000m, WSU freshmen Kindl and
Luke Schilter finished one-two. Kindl (Spokane) won in a time of 15 minutes 19.26 seconds while Schilter (Lacey, Wash.) was runner-up with a time of 15:23.69.

The WSU competitors will begin competition Friday at 4 p.m.
