BOSTON, Massachusetts –
Rosemary Longisa,
Zenah Cheptoo, and
Nicole Bissell set personal bests in the first race of the indoor track season. Solomon Kipchoge and
Evans Kurui impressed in the Men's 5k Invitational, finishing in 11th and 12th, respectively.
In the women's 3k,
Nicole Bissell finished in 26th, running a 9-minute and 29.79-second personal best time.
Caroline Jepkorir was not far behind her teammate, finishing in 34th with a time of 9 minutes and 35.06 seconds.
Rosemary Longisa competed in the Women's 3k Invitational, finishing in eighth with a time of 8 minutes and 55.81 seconds. This was a personal best time for the sophomore.
Kipchoge and Kurui competed in the Men's 5k Invitational, both putting up impressive times in an elite field. Kipchoge finished in 13 minutes and 24.3 seconds while his teammate was half a second behind him.
Zenah Cheptoo ran a personal best time in the Women's 5k, finishing 20th, with a time of 15 minutes and 46.37 seconds.
Ku Stevens rounded out the evening for the Cougs in the Men's 5k. His time of 13 minutes and 54.99 seconds was good for 63rd.
The Cougs will compete next at the Spokane Invitational on Saturday, December 13th.
