KAILUA KONA, Hawaii – The Washington State women's golf team remains in 11th place after the second round of the Nanea Pac-12 Preview hosted by the University of Hawaii. The Cougars finished the day just ahead of Hawaii after carding a 306(+14) for the second day in a row. No. 35 Oregon State is just ahead of WSU, having posted a 603(+19) through the two rounds.
Redshirt-sophomore
Emily Baumgart continues to lead the Cougars, carding a one-over, 74, in the second round. The Walla Walla, Wash. native put together 11 pars on the day, bringing her overall score to a two-over, 148, and tying her with a handful of rivals for 23rd place.
Junior
Marie Lund-Hansen moved up for the Cougars after carding a two-over, 75 in round two of play, bringing her overall score to a 150(+4). The Denmark native holds 24 pars through the two days of play, while going even on the course's nine par-4s.
Individually, Baumgart and the Cougars will try to chase down Yu-Sang Hou from No. 14 Arizona who leads the tournament with a 140(-6) after going two-under, 71, in round two. As a team, No. 49 California leads the tournament, posting an overall score of 581(-3) through the two rounds.
The Cougars will begin the final round of the tournament Wednesday at 7:30 a.m.
