Lund-Hansen Ties for Second At The Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate

The sophomore set the Cougs' record for score to par at -8.
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. - In record-breaking fashion, sophomore Marie Lund-Hansen tied for second place in the Ron Moore Women's Invitational, Sunday, October 8. Over two days, Lund-Hansen put together the best tournament score to par in program history, finishing at eight-under with a combined 208 over 56 holes. She made her final move into second place on day two when she shot her lowest score of the tournament (68, -4) in the third and final round.

Lund-Hansen shared her 208(-8) score with Patricia Wong of Pepperdine, who was competing as an individual.

The Cougars had their best team score in the third round as well, marking a low of 284(-4). The team finished in fourth place with a total of 862(-2).

Senior Alivia Brown and redshirt freshman Emily Baumgart tied for 27th, closing out the three rounds with dual scores of 219(+3). Junior Madison Odiorne followed directly behind with a total of 220(+4), and tying for 30th.

Senior Bree Wanderscheid tallied her lowest score of the invitational in the final round with an even 72. The score rounded out her total of 223(+7), and tied her for 40th.

The University of Denver claimed the first place title and scored a new tournament low with their three round score of 849(-15).

The team will look ahead to the Nanea Pac-12 Preview in Kailua Kona, Hawaii, October 23-24.
