Box Score EUGENE, Ore. -- The No. 10 Washington State volleyball team dropped its first Pac-12 match Sunday afternoon to No. 20 Oregon in set scores of 25-21, 25-10, and 25-14 at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene. The Cougars are now 15-3 overall, 5-1 in Pac-12 while the Ducks move to 12-3 overall, 5-1 in conference play and tied with WSU for the top spot in the conference standings.
 
WSU senior Kyra Holt tallied nine kills Sunday to move into third-place in the WSU all-time career kills list with 1,535, passing Meagan Ganzer's 1,531 (2008-11), and just 12 kills behind number two on the list, Carrie Couturier's 1,547 kills (1988-91). Holt and Alexis Dirige each had 10 digs with Dirige serving the Cougars' lone ace of the match. Claire Martin added three kills and four blocks and Taylor Mims had three kills three blocks. Haley MacDonald had 13 assists.
 
Oregon's leaders were Taylor Agost and Jolie Rasmussen, each had nine kills, as Agost hit .409 and Rasmussen hit .438. Lauren Page added seven kills with a .700 hitting percentage and led the match with six blocks. August Raskie had 12 assists and two aces while Maggie Scott had 22 assists and both had nine digs.
 
Oregon's team hitting percentage was .386 for the match and WSU hit .056. The Ducks led with 45 kills to WSU's 26, and had 39 digs to the Cougars' 25. Both teams had eight blocks.
 
"We got out-played in every single category today," Head Coach Jen Greeny said. "We have to be tougher mentally and be able to respond. We aren't sneaking up on anyone. When the pressure is getting put on us from another team we need to be able to respond and I don't think well did that very well today. Oregon is a fantastic team and expected their strong offense but I'm disappointed that we didn't respond in those situations and especially our sideout percentage was atrocious. We have to be able to put the ball away especially against a good offensive team because they are going to fire right back at you. That is definitely something that we have to get back in the gym and get better at."
 
It is Homecoming week in Pullman and the No. 10 WSU volleyball team will be back in Bohler Gym, hosting No. 19 Colorado (10-5, 2-3 pending 10/9 match at Cal) Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m., and Utah (13-4, 4-2) Sunday at Noon on the Pac-12 Network.
