Women's Golf Leading through Two

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The Washington State University women's golf team is in first place after the second round of play at the Ron Moore Invitational, Saturday, at Highlands Ranch Golf Course.
"The players continue to show their growth and commitment to being the best that they can be," WSU Head Coach Kelli Kamimura said. "We have posted two solid rounds so far this week and look forward to getting back out on the course tomorrow."
After shooting even par in the second round, WSU (-3, 573) leads San Francisco (-1, 575) by two strokes, and Denver (E, 576) by three strokes.
With a two-round score of 140, junior Cherokee Kim is tied for fourth place, four strokes behind leader Stina Resen of Little Rock (-8, 136). Kim shot a second-round 73 (+1), highlighted by three birdies.
Sophomores Alivia Brown and Bree Wanderscheid are tied for 13th, even with par at 144. The duo shot 1-over (73) and 3-under (69), respectively, in the second round and combined for six birdies.
Senior Nani Yanagi is tied for 21st after shooting 73 (+1) in the second round to bring her score to 145. Fellow senior Monica Huang is in an eight-way tie for 45th with a two-round score of 150 (+6).
