WSU CAREER. SENIOR (2004-05): Women's team captain. JUNIOR (2003-04): Season-best throw of the year was 150-3 (45.80m) for seventh place at NCAA West Regional (5/29/04, Northridge)...mark is second-best in school history...finished sixth at Pac-10 Championships (5/15/04, Tucson) with a throw of 148-11 (45.38m)...named to Pac-10 All-Academic First Team. SOPHOMORE (2002-03): Finished sixth in the javelin at the NCAA West Regional (5/31/03, Stanford) with a lifetime-best throw of 155-feet, 8 inches (47.45m), missing fifth place and a trip to the NCAA Championships by a mere two inches...mark is second-best in school records. FRESHMAN (2001-02): Threw PR of 45.98m/150-10 and won the javelin at Idaho-WSU dual meet (4/13/02, Pullman)...missed scoring at Pac-10 Championships with ninth place throw of 42.97m/141-0 (5/19/02, Pullman).

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. At Mt. Spokane High received nine varsity letters, three each in volleyball, basketball and track...captain of track and basketball teams senior year...as a senior, won Cougar Invitational and set record for javelin at 141-2...was third at state with a throw of 140-5...javelin PR is 141-8......junior year, fifth at regional meet with 127-5 throw.

PERSONAL. Born 1/25/83 in Spokane, Washington, to Steve and Debbie Bertholf (pronounced birth-off)...twin sister Kim (400m runner at Pacific Lutheran University)...brother Chris, finished seventh in intermediate hurdles at the NCAA Div. III while at PLU in 2002...father graduated from WSU in 1974...earned a 4.0 GPA and was class Valedictorian at Mt. Spokane...National Honors Society Treasurer...received WSU Academic Scholarship as freshman...received the Brooks, Carlton Sybil Scholarship for 2001-02 from Construction Management/Architecture Dept...volunteer work includes Reading Buddies at Sunnyside Elementary, track charity car washes, Associated Students of Washington State University (ASWSU), and College of Business Marketing Research Team 2003-04...senior year serving as a peer-counselor for freshmen student-athletes in the Pac-10 advising program...majoring in marketing with a minor in business law.
