Cougars reach 23 lifetime-best marks at MPSF Championships meet.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned five varsity letters at Westview High...one for basketball coach Greg Nared...four for track coaches Rob Casteel and Cheryl Wardell...also played volleyball...three-time track team MVP...freshman year placed fourth in 100m and seventh in 200m at 6A State Championships......sophomore year won 100m and 200m titles at the Metro League Championships and at 6A State Championships...junior year repeated as 200m winner at both the Metro League Championships and 6A State Championships, runner-up in 100m at both meets...summer before senior year competed for Warrior Track Club and coach Jay Miles...won 100m, 200m and 400m at Junior Olympics state meet, won 100m and 200m at JO Regional meet, and placed 10th in 100m and 11th in 200m at JO National meet...named 2011 JO Athlete of the Year for Oregon Region...winter of senior year at Husky Open ran 60m dash in time of 7.83i and 200m in time of 25.37i...capped senior year with 100m and 200m gold medals at both league and state championships...clocked PR time in 200m of 24.51 at Metro Championships and ran PR time in 100m of 11.97w at state prelims...won the 100m dash in a PR time of 11.91 at the Region 13 Junior Olympics meet in Bend, Ore., in summer 2012.
