FRESHMAN (2001-02): Indoor - For five consecutive weeks bettered freshman weight throw records, ending with 17.28m/56-8 1/2i at the McDonald's II Meet (3/2/02, Moscow)…finished fifth in weight throw at MPSF Championships (2/23/02, Flagstaff) with toss of 17.818m/56-4 3/4…Outdoor - Shattered her own freshman hammer record with an NCAA PQ toss of 56.33m/184-10 at the Washington dual meet (5/4/02, Pullman)...finished ninth in hammer (53.24m/174-8) at Pac-10 Championships (5/19/02, Pullman).
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER Earned six letters at Capital High with three in gymnastics, two in track, and one as a power lifter…competed for track coach Kevin Wright as a junior and senior…was seventh nationally in the weight throw as a senior…at the Simplot Games finished second in weight throw and fourth in shot put…in the outdoor season, ranked fifth in the Track & Field News national prep list for hammer with a throw of 166-9 which is the state record…had the top discus throw in state at 149-11…discus champion at Pasco…won league titles for shot put and discus…finished second in both throws at both district and state meets…as a junior, was second at district and third at state in shot put…hammer throw was ranked 27th nationally…talented gymnast who competed in All-around at gymnastics Districts freshman through junior years…also a member of Gymnastics Elite club team coached by Michelle Ortiz, state competitor Level 5, and 7…sophomore year of power lifting, won 182lb weight class at Bellevue Invite and at state championships…freshman year member of U-17 Metro Soccer Club coached by Scott Bishop that won league.
