AUCKLAND'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
GENERAL: Earned three varsity letters in baseball as both a shortstop and centerfielder under head coach Bob Smithson...also played three years of varsity basketball as a guard for coach Jerry Koester...SOPHOMORE: Averaged seven points a game as a guard for the varsity basketball team...on the diamond hit .380 while starting over half of Cascade's games at shortstop...JUNIOR: As the starting shortstop hit .375 earning all-area and all-conference honors...on the hardwood was a starter at guard and earned 2nd team all-conference honors while averaging 10 PPG...SENIOR: Hit .380 with five home runs on the diamond...earned all-league, all-area and All-State honors...for the basketball team he led the Bruins to the state playoffs where they took ninth place...averaged 11 PPG, was the team captain and named 2nd team all-league.
AUCKLAND'S WASHINGTON STATE CAREER
FRESHMAN (1999-00): Enrolled in August…made three appearances in his first year with the Cougs…pitched one inning against UCLA (April 29)…also saw action as a pitcher against Cal State-Northridge (May 13), but did not record an out…only other game action was against Lewis-Clark State as a pinch-runner, scoring a run.
