Rue Shines for Cougars at Edean Ihlanfeldt Invite

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – In the final day of competition, Washington State women's golf finished in 13th after the third round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational with a score of 960, +96. Stanford took the top spot followed by Washington in second and UCF rounding out the top three.
Junior, Kristen Rue, led the Cougars tied for 22nd with a score of 226, +10. Rue had a solid finish only scoring one over par in the third round.
Senior, Mallory Kent, had a strong second day of competition finished tied for 49th with a score of 238, +22. In the back nine, Kent scored only one over par and carded a birdie.
Next up for the Cougars is a road trip to the Sunshine State for the Stanford Invitational Oct. 25-27th.
