Matt Zollinger was named Associate Athletic Director Marketing/Fan Experience in July 2020 as serving as the Assistant AD for Marketing/Fan Experience since January of 2019. In his current capacity, Zollinger has oversight for all digital and overall marketing, advertising, all fan experience elements including giveaways, in venue promotions, video board elements, script writing, and game production, as well as the WSU Spirit Programs.
 
With Zollinger leading the marketing efforts, Cougar fans have noticed a much improved in-venue fan experience, while increasing WSU’s brand on a national scale. Under his guidance, WSU Athletics received the gold honor for the category of "Single Game Sales Campaign" from the 2020 National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) Best of Awards. The campaign for the jersey retirement ceremony of Klay Thompson occurred in January 2020 in front of a crowd of 10,380 fans. Zollinger also spearheaded efforts that resulted in a 90% increase in overall student attendance for Men’s Basketball in 2019-20. 
 
Prior to overseeing WSU’s marketing efforts, Zollinger spent five years (2013-18) in the WSU Athletic Ticket Office, first as an assistant then the final two years as the Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Service. In that role he oversaw all ticket programming for football season tickets and CAF donations, managed the Paciolan relationship for the department, as well as all Suite, Coaches Club, Loge, and Club seat renewals and acted as the direct ticketing contact for WSU’s largest donors.
 
Before arriving at WSU, Zollinger worked for the Portland Trail Blazers and Atlanta Hawks of the NBA, as well as at BYU. He holds a degree in business management from BYU-Idaho and a master’s degree in sport management from WSU. He and his wife, Korissa, have four children, Conner, Sebastian, Jackson and Emmie.
