Biography

URIAS’ WSU CAREER. REDSHIRT SENIOR (2019): In her final season as a Coug, she lead the team in attack percentage (.304)... Urias was second on the team in kills (278), kills per set (2.28), total attacks (664), solo blocks (18), total blocks (113) and was third on the team in points (368.5). 

REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2018): Was a force both offensively and defensively for the Cougars in her third season, leading WSU in attack percentage at .325 overall, and posted 128 total blocks...Named to the Cougar Challenge All-Tournament Team...Earned All-Pac-12, and AVCA Pacific North All-Region Honorable Mention honors, and was named an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention selection...Named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 15-Oct. 21...Finished ninth overall in hitting percentage in the Pac-12...Set career highs in kills (18), aces (4), hitting percentage (.700), and total points (20.0) during her junior season. 

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2017): Selected to the Mexican National Team for FIVB Grand Prix competition in summer 2017…started three matches…starting middle blocker making an immediate impact on 2017 team....246 hpct, second-best on team...had 10 kills-0 errors-18 attacks (.556) at Arizona 9/23/17...nine kills, .667 hpct, eight blocks and 13.5 points vs. Quinnipiac 9/1/17...tallied 11 kills-1 error-23 attacks (.435) vs. No. 17 Utah 10/8/17...career-high 10 blocks in 3-2 win over No. 13 UCLA 10/27/17...career-high four aces vs. California 11/10/17...1.33 blocks per set leading team, fourth-best in Pac-12 and 29th-best in NCAA...in Pac-12 only matches, 1.25 bps was fourth-best in conference...168 total blocks led Pac-12 and was 13th-best in NCAA...27 aces led team...WSU SINGLE SEASON STATS: 2017 - 150 block assists (6th), 168 total blocks (7th), 1.33 bps (13th).

FRESHMAN (2015): Made Cougar debut vs. Utah Valley 9/12...landed one kill in two attacks...also saw action vs. Northwestern State 9/18.
 
URIAS’ PRE-WSU CAREER. Three-year member of the Mexican Junior National team…selected to the Mexican National Team for competition at the 2015 FIVB (Federation Internationale de Volleyball) World Grand Prix…team did not advance from preliminary rounds in pool play…played three years of high school volleyball at Preparatoria José Vasconcelos in Tijuana, for coach Luz Maria….also played for Baja California Club team coached by Estanislao Matías Vachino…named the MVP of the 2015 Copa Federacion (Federation Cup), a qualifying tournament for the Liga Mexicana de Voleibol (LMV).
